Property owners and bodies corporate are provided with a range of warranties under State and Federal laws with regards to building defects whereby the builder must undertake rectification works following submission of a detailed report during the first year after practical completion and handover. A further report may be issued in subsequent years with details on deterioration of building structure due to poor design and/or construction which may allow further rectification work to be ordered by the relevant authority under the builder’s warranty.
Star Building Management Services have experienced building inspectors and facilities management specialists who can conduct detailed inspections of original building plans and as installed documentation to identify any omissions or non-approved variations on the part of the builder to assist with preparation of a detailed Building Defects (BD) report issued in conjunction with a claim for rectification works. Our team may also assist with ongoing building inspection to monitor more fundamental defects that will form the basis of a further claim for rectification works prior to expiration of the builder’s warranty.
